Name a character and I'll tell you three (or more) facts about them from my own personal headcanon.
Current fandoms are: BSG, Doctor Who (though I haven't seen any of the new season), Torchwood, any of the comics listed in my tags, Gundam Wing, Star Wars, and anything else you remember me mentioning even just once here.
PLEASE DISTRACT ME FROM THE MASSIVE PILES OF HOMEWORK I HAVE TO DO. THE SOONER, THE BETTER.
Dear Flist,
I love you.
Much love,
foreverrhapsody
How are you all doing on this lovely Sunday night?

Date: 2010-05-10 12:24 am (UTC)It's 50/50 in my head that Bill and Laura slept together on New Caprica. Sometimes I just think they got high and giggly and then philosophical and then both just kind of nodded off while cuddling. But the other half of the time I totally think they did, and Laura was a lot better and compartmentalizing then Bill.
Laura never got married and never exactly wanted to. She also never really wanted children of her own, though she loved teaching and being around them.
I'm still trying to work this out, but I think she really admired Starbuck, hence why she was in Laura's visions in The Hub, but wasn't exactly sure how to interact with her for some reason that I haven't quite figured out yet.

Date: 2010-05-10 01:39 am (UTC)Anyway, the only woman-ish he wouldn't have slept with were any of the Eights. He was equal parts scared of and lusted for Laura Roslin. I also wouldn't loved to see him with Starbuck.
He was actually quite content with his life on New!Earth, especially because he could be all scientisty about this new planet. He did get annoyed sometimes, and a lot of the colonists were still kind of weirded out by him but once they saw that he was being (relatively) normal for once in his life, they started to be more friendly.
His favorite color is midnight blue. His favorite food is the colonial version of steak.

Date: 2010-05-10 12:46 am (UTC)Jake and Mickey totally got together between Age of Steel and Army of Ghosts/Doomsday, once they both got over the whole Mickey/Ricky thing, and Mickey realized he wasn't exactly gay but he was gay-for-Jake. And they were pretty much BFFS and BFs and an awesome bickering two-man-team first working on their own and then later with Torchwood, at least until Rose came back. Then things were awkward for a bit, because Mickey and Rose were figuring out exactly where they stood with each other and Jake was impatient and got jealous easily, but finally things worked out and they became the Wonder Trio of Pete's World Torchwood. However, as we all know, people who work for Torchwood very long tend not to live long, and so Jake was killed doing something heroic. Probably in some of the battles or whatever that lead up to the events of the fourth season epic finale, which was why Mickey was like, "There's nothing for me there." (P.S. MICKEY AND MARTHA NEVER MARRIED. WTF WAS THAT?!)
Jake was the kid in high school (Ok, so the UK version of high school) who sat in the back of the classroom, goofed off, and never really listened to what the teacher said. He ended up dropping out at the earliest possible point, and somehow found his way to the mechanics where conveniently Ricky was working. They bonded, first off because Ricky was a prickly sort and Jake was the only one who could put up with him, second because they both disliked how Lumic was taking over, and last because they thought the other was hot.
BUTTSEX andhijinx ensued. He was very tech smart, and usually played the part of the techie/backup in whatever team he, Mickey (Who lead the group), and eventually Rose played together.Jake was kinda/sorta/maybe the AU!Pete's World!version of Rose. Can I add sort of again, because it's pretty much just swirling inside my head as a something I giggle about and vow to write fic on every once in a while.
UM OBI WAN COMES IN PART TWO BECAUSE IDK HOW MUCH ROOM I HAVE LEFT IN THIS COMMENT.

Date: 2010-05-10 01:30 am (UTC)Icon is Francesca (Ray V's sister) from Due South. She is adorably cute, and in this episode she was looking very very pink, and had this amazing hot pink mobile which I suspect may not have actually existed in the early-to-mid nineties. At least I never saw one anywhere else. GIANT OLD SCHOOL HOT PINK PHONE HOMG.

Date: 2010-05-10 01:33 am (UTC)AWWW. Due South is one of those shows I always mean to watch but haven't actually gotten down to doing so. I TTLY agree with your HOT PINK PHONE love, though. Pink is my favorite color.

Date: 2010-05-10 01:44 am (UTC)Ok, here is Obi-Wan Kenobi
Date: 2010-05-10 01:11 am (UTC)Because he is a good Jedi, he never got into any relationships, although he did have some rather disturbing (to him) feelings for both Qui-Gon and Amidala/Padme/Whichever Handmaidens were around. Probably some of the people in the Jedi Order as well.
He starting growing a beard a couple years after gaining Anakin as an apprentice because he felt it would make him look older and dignified.
When he took Luke to Tatooine, he put some sort of Force block on him so Vader wouldn't be able to find him. This disintegrated as soon as Kenobi died. Vader didn't get the full effect of it until Luke finally dug into the force enough to blow up the Death Star.

Date: 2010-05-12 02:51 am (UTC)Boba totally survived the Sarlaac, although I don't completely believe much else what comes in the Extended Universe. There are two moments in some of the newer series where Han and Fett team up, can't remember which books, and I actually really liked their semi-comradeliness.
In my fanon, he totally got revenge on Mace Windu. I think I remember there was talk that would happen in Revenge of the Sith, but it never actually did. And I was sad.
I think this was mentioned somewhere in one of the video games, but Zam Wesell, the shape changer that Jango kills in Attack of the Clones, was basically Boba's mother figure-ish. Kind of, although she wasn't a very good one. Jango never told him what really happened to her.
(Here, have my only Star Wars icon, which doesn't actually have much to do with this comment but is still funny.)

Date: 2010-05-13 07:58 pm (UTC)-She didn't understand her daughters need to travel with the Doctor and worried about it a lot, but she accepted it and supported her with all her heart.
-Her and Mickey have a special relationship. Not quite friends, not quite parent with child, maybe even a tiny bit of attraction (not physical, more... friendly? IDK, I can't explain it.)
-She can be silly sometimes, but she means well and she's fiercely loyal, loving, and caring.
Bonus - Her and Pete are one of those couples that have lots of little fights and snark at each other, but that's just how they show they love each other.

Anyway, Vanyel's really tough because I a) haven't read his books in a while and b)they're pretty complete as they are, I feel.
There is one thing that I can say, though. There's a pretty big mistake throughout the series that always bugged me. In the first book, when Van gets his powers, Savil notes that he received every single power except healing, including the Bardic gift. In the last book somewhere, or perhaps it was the second one, Van ends up with every power except the Bardic gift, including healing. So both Lackey's editor and Lackey messed up. It's my personal canon that he ended up with the Bardic gift, just because it's completely ironic.
So, uh, yeah. How're you doing? :-D

Date: 2010-05-13 07:20 pm (UTC)-I don't think he actually knew if he was gay, straight, bi, or whatever. He just took his relationship with Jack, and told anyone who asked about it what he thought they wanted to hear.
-I don't subscribe to the fandom notion that he was BFF's with Tosh. I genuinely think he was friends with Gwen, although he wasn't really close to anyone.
